Senior Services Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Hours: evenings= 2-1030p
Participates in all safety, security and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the department.
! Demonstrates work practices consistent with Alegent Health, f! acility and department-specific safety, security and infection control policies.
Demonstrates the Alegent Health commitments in daily behaviors.
Values and embraces multicultural traditions and recognizes when there is a need for and procures translations/interpretations appropriately.
Complies with all internal and external regulations, polices and procedures. Demonstrates understanding and practice of quality standards and HIPAA regulations. Supports facility efforts for continuous quality improvement.
Experience Preferred:
Accept new grad CNAs.
Previous experience in similar position.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Ability to organize and prioritize resident care and ability to work with others.
Job requires continuous verbal communication skills.
Job requires frequent reading skills and written communication skills.
Must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of mot! ivation, team orientation, professionalism, trust, and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.
Educational
Required:
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must have successfully completed the 75-hour state approved course for Nursing Assistant.
Nurse Assistants must be on the Nurse Aide registry of the State in which they provide services.
Lifespan Competencies
The Caregiver must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the residents served on his or her assigned unit.
The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the resident's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each resident's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs as described in the department policies, procedur! es, or performance appraisal standards.
