Description: Clinical Assistant 4E/4N-Cardiac PCU Bryan Medical Center - East Campus, Lincoln, NE is in need of Clinical Assistant right now, this vacancy will be placed in Nebraska. Responsible for serving on the patient care team for an assigned area including direct patient care as an unlicensed professional under the d! irect supervision of an RN. The Clinical Assistant incorporates the roles of nursing tech and unit secretary with the primary job duties being dependent upon the type of area and/or patient population needs. The nursing tech component of the role includes: responsibilities for assisting with patient admissions, transfers and discharges, collecting and reporting basic clinical observations to nurses (e.g., vital signs, confusion, weakness); obtaining and transporting specimens and promoting organization and positive attitudes in care to the patient/unit environment. The unit secretary component of the role include order and information processing, maintenance of the patients' medical record, providing organization to the work station and communicating pertinent information to other members of the health care team in a timely manner. Employees holding mursing licensure will be held accountable to Nebraska nursing licensure requirements.
Requirements: High School di! ploma or equivalency required. Active Nebraska Certified Nursi! ng Assistant (CNA) credential or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required. Six (6) months CNA experience preferred. Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
Note: Individuals assigned to work in post-acute areas, i.e. Home Care, Acute Rehab, must possess a Nebraska CNA certificate.
