Tech Aide

Description: Regional West Medical Center is at the momment seeking for Tech Aide right now, this position will be placed in Nebraska. Assists the technologists in Imaging Services with patient transportation, room set up, stocking and supplies, completion of various department logs, scheduling patients, checking lab values, and patient positioning in Imaging Services. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Regional West Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of RWMC. The employee shall support Regional West Medical Center's strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan. The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer Service, Patient's Rights, Confidentiality of Information, and Environment of Care.
Job Function :
Consistently applies infection control policies/practices Meets population/age specific competencies Attends department specific education/training, inservices, and staff meetings Department specific performance improvement project Actively assists in unit performance improvement Uses department computer systems effectively and accurately Responsible for transporting patients safety Responsible for exam room set up for each type of procedure performed (specific to section assigned) Responsible for putting stock and supplies in proper locations Customer Service
Prerequisites :
Minimum 6 months experience preferred in a transporter, CNA or EMT role Emergency Medical Technician certificate preferred Certified Nursing Assistant certificate preferred BCLS certificate required Medication Aide certificate required within one year of hire
