Urgent Care Registered Nurse - RN

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Description: Potomac Management is in need of Urgent Care Registered Nurse - RN right now, this career will be delegated in Nebraska. The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska is in search of Registered Nurses (RN) to work in the Urgent Care / Emergency Room (level 4/5) in the Winnebago Hospital located on the Winnebago Tribe Reservation (Nebraska). The facility is a 13 bed hospital with a 24 hour ER. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced ER nurses to provide emergency medicine support with competitive compensation and flexibility. The facility is located approximately 25 miles south of Sioux City, IA, and about 80 miles north of Omaha. There are benefited full-time positions as well as part-time, prn/per diem, and paid travel positions as well!
Schedule: Department is open 24/7 with flexible scheduling and excellent patient load. No on-call or call back, 12 hour shifts.
Compensation: Very competitive with shift differentials.

RN QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a licensed RN with 1 year in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain an active CPR, ACLS, BLS and PALS certification.
  • Full and Active and unrestricted licensure or registration as a professional nurse from a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico , or a territory of the United States.
  • Demonstrated ability to Triage to include, assesses the patient's immediate needs and prioritizes data accordingly upon arrival to emergency department and functions in triage department as needed.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of airway management including oxygenation of patients and implementing emergency measures as needed.
  • Knowledge experience in administering I.V. drips.
  • Education: A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing education program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
