Hickory Villa, a 51 apartment Assisted Living Community, is currently searching for a proven Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse as the Health Services Director. The Health Services Direc! tor is responsible for recruiting, screening, and selecting staff to provide quality resident care assuring residents' safety, physical, emotional, spiritual, and medical needs are met. Duties include scheduling of staff, monitoring and assisting with residents' care needs, receiving physician orders, monitoring and assisting with personal care needs of residents, maintaining medication records, assessing potential and current residents to ensure appropriate placement, providing tours to future residents and families, maintaining open communication with authorized family members, and other nursing duties.
Qualified applicants must have a deep sense of respect and care for seniors and their families as well as the staff providing care. They must be able to demonstrate solid communication and relationship skills that result in a satisfying affiliation between residents, families, staff and the community. The position requires understanding "Customer Service Is Someth! ing You Do" and excellent interpersonal skills to train and co! ach staff. It also requires a current license and knowledge and understanding of state and federal care standards and regulations.
