The Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health, is looking for a Facilities Surveyor/ Consultant to join our team. Examples of Work:
Survey health care facilities for conformance with State/Federal regulations and providers of health care facilities to ensure care needs of residents/patients are being met. Primary survey responsibilities are both in Federal certification and State licensure for long term care facilities. Frequent day travel and occasional overnight travel required. May work irregular hours to accomplish surveys.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: License, certification or registration as an environmental health specialist, dietitian, registered nurse or degree in gerontology, a behavioral health field or a related health field and exper! ience in a health care facility/service.
OTHER: Valid drivers license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have knowledge of interviewing and counseling techniques; the principles of public health; and medical care facility equipment and safety.
