PURPOSE :
The Division Clini! cal Financial Manager shall act as the expert resource for Health Management Associates (HMA) in the area of Resource Management operations. Works within a corporate leadership team to plan, support and promote the development of the Resource Management program for HMA facilities consistent with the mission of Health Management Associates. Provides consultation in clinical specialty to personnel and other entities regarding program development, departmental operations, quality patient care and patient safety.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsible for evaluating and supporting Resource Management operations in assigned Division and other HMA facilities as identified by the Corporate Director of Resource Management

Assumes responsibility for the consultative development and implementation of evidence-based programs, and clinical initiatives and assists in evaluation of Resource Management process and throughput

Provide on! -site consultative services as needed for HMA Resource Managem! ent Departments

Assists with education of clinical Resource Management staff as needed

Serves as mentor and resource person for Resource Management

Develops collaborative relationships with hospital personnel, staff and physicians to ensure a continuum focus and improved operations

Working as part of a team, research and develop evidenced based practice standards, best practice criteria, and outcomes metrics for HMA facilities

Other duties as assigned

TRAVEL:
Provides one (1) on-site operational assessment and /or follow-up visit for each facility within assigned Group within each calendar year

Provides focused assessments for assigned facilities and other HMA facilities as identified by the Corporate Director of Resource Management

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS :
Excellent technical, management, operational and clinical knowledge of Resource Management at all levels of ! care within an acute healthcare setting

Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, presentation and computer skills

Demonstrate experience and the ability to manage multiple groups, interact productively with varying levels of personnel and staff, provide program direction and development

Ability to produce and utilize data for projects tracking and outcomes achievement

Ability to prioritize projects and resolve conflicting priorities

Ability to develop policies and procedures, performance and scorecards, assessment forms and other tools related to performance and quality metrics

Demonstrated leadership abilities; flexibility to accept and manage change

Identify educational needs and provide educational support as appropriate for each facility

Certificates and Licenses :
Current RN license required

Education/Experience :
Minimum: Bachelo! rs Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Preferred: Master’s degree in N! ursing, Business, Health Care Administration, or other health/business field or currently actively enrolled in Master’s degree program in Nursing, Business, Health Care Administration, or other health/business related field
Technical knowledge of the nursing and the continuum or care
Knowledge of computer systems, information systems, information management, and data analysis
Minimum of ten years experience in varied disciplines of nursing
Minimum of five years experience in management and administration
Preferred experience in multiple health care settings or healthcare system with multiple sites of operation
