Craft State Office Building, 200 South Silber, Conference Room 45, North Platte NE

Nebraska State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South, Conference Room Lower Level C, Lincoln NE

Examples of Work:
Life safety code inspections of health care facilities. Inspect premises and facilities including but not limited to hospitals, nursing facilities, institutions to prevent fires and comply with relevant rules and regulations. Write and submit reports regarding all inspections to ensure proper records are maintained in compliance with established rules, regulations, and procedures. Interpret State and federal regulations. Travel required.

Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Experience in fire fighting.

PREFERRED: Post high school course in inspections.
OTHER: Valid driver's license or able to provide inde! pendent authorized transportation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of : Inspection procedures; the English language; structural safeguards; relevant codes, rules and regulations. Ability to: communicate effectively with individuals and groups; understand and apply instructions; establish and maintain good working relationships; apply the required knowledge to complete life safety code inspections; write complete, accurate and concise reports. Computer skills necessary for completing and submitting reports.
