- Graduate of accredited program
Under general supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions in one unit on a particular shift, in accordanc! e with established philosophy. Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care; maintains satisfactory relations with other departments; participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records and upgrading of policies, procedures and skills. Under direction, provides direct nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process, performs technical nursing functions and upholds the standard of practice of a professional nurse in care for adolescent through geriatric patients on the medical/surgical units.
This position will have benefits and be paid at a higher set wage to work
50 out of 52 weekends a year. Weekends are defined as Friday, Saturday and Sunday or Saturday, Sunday and Monday depending on the need of the department. Weekenders will not be included in low census rotation but will be included in the float rotation. Weekenders may work extra hours during the week.
