The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a team-focused registered nurse to apply nursing prin! ciples and practices to program operations in the Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care.
Examples of Work:
Apply knowledge of aging and disability-related medical issues to program practices, to specific client situations, and to long-term care systems improvement. Research and analyze federal and state laws and regulations to formulate appropriate program policies. Assume primary responsibility for Home and Community-based Services' (HCBS) level of care criteria and service needs planning, including development, nursing consultation, and training staff and contractors. Identify, develop and manage processes to improve the health and safety of HCBS waiver clients. Serve as the State's clinical representative for oversight of PACE activities.
Qualifications / Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS: Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Nebraska is required. Post high school coursework/training in nursing, and experi! ence as a professional nurse. Experience in providing communit! y/public health nursing care services preferred.
PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in related field. At least 5 years' experience working as a professional nurse. Experience in providing community/public health nursing care or related program management. OTHER: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation is required.
