Description: The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society is looking of Health Information Coordinator right now, this position will be placed in Nebraska. As a Health Information Coordinator you will be responsible for assisting with processing medical records. Reporting to the Director of Hea! lth Information Management on problems and discrepancies in the medical record; assiting with the mail and phone messages and performing general clerical functions.
Additional responsibilities of the Health Information Coordinator include:
- Assisting with data entry as needed.
- Assisting in routing infection control information from physician's orders to the infection control nurse.
Health Information Coordinator
To qualify for the Health Information Coordinator, you must have effective communication skills and be able to work with individuals of all ages.
Additional requirements of the Health Information Coordinator include:
- Knowledge of standard health information management practices.
- Completion of health information management courses is beneficial.
- Familiarity with office machines.
- Previous experience working in a health information ma! nagement/medical records department.
- Typing, data ent! ry, filing, telephone, computer, and adding machine skills.
