Job Description


Do you want to take part in the responsibility to operate and maintain a number of onshore windfarm in the Netherlands?

As a Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager you can power fossil free living by making sure that wind farms operates with optimal performance. We are now looking to add a O&M Manager to our expanding onshore wind team.

The Onshore windfarms are part of Vattenfall’s Business Area Wind, Business Unit Onshore Wind, Operations Netherlands.

The windfarms we are looking for an O&M manager are

  • Project Blauw, located in the Ijsselmeer for the coast of Flevoland nearby the “Ketelbrug’, the park consist of 14 nearshore GE turbines.
  • Project A16, located at the Klaverpolder junction, along the A16, the park consist of 6 Nordex turbines.
  • Support the Princes Alexia O&M Manger, Princes Alexia is located in the Flevo polder and consist of 36 Senvion turbines.

Project Blauw is our first nearshore windfarm, and will be fully serviced by GE, The O&M Manager should manage the operation of this windfarm and have a close relationship with the owner of the 10 more nearshore GE turbines. The project is still under construction, and expect to handover to Operations end 2023.

A16 (Klaverspoor), is a onshore windfarm fully service by Nordex, The O&M manger should manage the operation of this windfarm, including reporting, documentation, approval of work permits etc.

The O&M manager of the windfarm Princes Alexia, is in the need of support for the operations of this windfarm, The windfarm has also a full service setup.

What will you do?
As the O&M ( Project B lauw and A16 you will report to the Manager Operation onshore Netherlands , for the Prices Alexia project you will report to the O&M Manger of Alexia. The focus will be on working closely together with turbine suppliers in performing daily operations. , Striving for highest energy production at lowest costs, with safety always as the number one priority.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Control and challenge maintenance planning for turbines and Balance of Plant;
  • Controlling contractor scopes;
  • Project management & Contract Management;
  • Provide periodical performance reports;
  • Lead in end of warranty inspections;
  • Driving improvements on technical and financial performance of site;
  • Optimize site performance and report on performance KPIs: availability, cost, safety;
  • Ensure compliance with legal & contractual obligations on site.

Location
The position will be based in the Vattenfall office in Amsterdam, travel to the different windfarms will be 3 to 4 times a week.


Qualifications


Who are you?

A flexible, pro-active, self-motivated and organized individual with the ability to work on their own and in a team. You have the natural ability to motivate people. You can analyse technical problems and to formulate a plan of approach together with technical experts. You can communicate effectively at various levels of the organisation. You possess a high attitude of safety; safety first, production second!

Next to this you bring:

  • A relevant degree in engineering (HTS),
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience from within wind farms;
  • Broad experience in electrical and mechanical operations and maintenance;
  • Experience in project management, contract management, and negotiation skills is an advantage;
  • Experience with SAP is considered as an advantage;
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong command of both Dutch and English language.
