The Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Stroke Unit Manager demonstrates excellence in advanced clinical nursing practice in stroke and delivers patient centered care while maintaining a focus on best patient outcomes.
Conducting advanced comprehensive patient assessment, the A dvanced P ractice N urse Practitioner Stroke Unit Manager initiates and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests and formulates diagnosis and management plans.
The A dvanced P ractice Nurse Practitioner Stroke Unit Manager will be the lead member on the Stroke Code Team and will continue to be first notified when ED is aware of patient meeting stroke triage criteria.
Demonstrating clinical leadership in the area of specialty, the A dvanced P ractice N urse Practitioner Stroke Unit Manager supports the professional development and learning of other staff.
REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of an approved Advanced Practice Nursing program required.
- Two years exper! ience working at a level of advanced practice in acute care.
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license.
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.
