Responsibilities
  • Receive cash, check and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received.
  • Close the customer's repair order (used as customer's bill) using computer system.
  • Make change, cash checks, and issue receipts to customers.
  • Prepare daily sales report to ascertain and record totals shown on cash register tape and verify against cash on hand.
  • Answer telephones and contact customers when necessary.
  • Maintain service related correspondence and files.
  • Refer customers who have additional questions (e.g., questions about their repair order) to the service advisor or other appropriate individual.
  • Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise and take or refer the customer to the appropriate individual for further communication.
  • Utilize two-way radio and/or intercom to communicate with sales and service employees when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace and notify management of any unsafe working conditions.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of confidential personal information of our customers in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission Safeguards Rule, implementing the provisions of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act as they pertain to automobile dealerships and adhere to all other company rules, policies and procedures as stated in the employee handbook.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Excellent listening/communication skills, outgoing and positive personality
  • Punctual nature and ability to handle schedule flexibility and dynamic work environment
  • Professional appearance and eager to improve on all aspects
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
