:
Works under the supervision of the Environmental Services ! Supervisor. Provides a clean, safe and friendly environment for patients, visitors and associates by providing housekeeping services. Functions in such a way to live out the mission and values of Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center.

Position is scheduled for 40-80 hours in a two week pay period, shift varies based on need.
Essential Duties
:
Maintains a clean, hazard free, aesthetic environment.
Cleans assigned patient care unit and restocks supplies within work area according ! to established standards.
Removes non-controlled medi! cation when cleaning patient rooms upon discharge. Obliterate patient information on medication prior to disposal. Returns medication not found in an IV pump to nursing.
Is required to complete Learn Module “SERMC Handling Medication-Non-licensed personnel†prior to working in this role.
Completes stat and routine discharge room cleans.
Identifies and reports work orders for maintenance needs.
Identifies and reports floor care and curtain replacements needed.

Qualifications
Education
:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Experience
:
One year healthcare housekeeping experience preferred.
Skills to communicate effectively, with nurses, other associates, visitors, and ancillary departments; may be asked to demonstrate literacy.
Basic keyboard/computer ability preferred.
Licensure:
None required.
