We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality & Systems Improvement Director serving the states of Kans! as and Nebraska . Director can be located in Overland Park, KS; Wichita, KS; or, Omaha, NE
Director will work with the healthcare community to improve quality and systems of care as it relates to stroke, heart failure, resuscitation, and the Mission: Lifeline initiative.
Responsibilities include :
Marketing Get with the Guidelines programs and the Mission: Lifeline initiative to health partners
Assisting hospitals and clinics to improve performance indicators by serving as program consultant
Identifying, cultivating, and maintaining key relationships with local business coalitions, hospital systems or health plans
Conducting webinars to educate the healthcare community on quality and systems improvement programs
Plan and coordinate accredited and non- accredited workshops

Required Skills

Ability to engage audiences using technology, i.e. via webinars
Proven organizational skills
Ability to travel up to 25%.
Must have at least basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office 2007 or higher used for word processing, email, presentations, and spreadsheets. Advanced knowledge and skill with these programs is preferred. These skills are subject to testing.
Must have the ability to lift at least 20lbs from the ground to waist level with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Required Experience
Must have at least 3 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Experience may include working in clinical, non-clinical, quality improvement, pharmaceuticals . This experience may also count towards satisfying this position's educational requirement.
Experience should include one of the following : 1) acute care hospita! l experience working directly on clinical quality or process improvement projects, 2) working with national cardiac clinical quality improvement program that incorporates data capture within a process improvement framework or 3) experience working with healthcare organizations such as a QIO, Medical Association or related entity.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Science, Health Care, or Public Health from an accredited university preferred. College coursework combined with related experience may be substituted for a degree. Related experience may be substituted as follows: 1 1/2 years experience equates to 1 full time year of higher education.Must have at least 2 years of healthcare experience either within a healthcare facility or working with healthcare facilities to improve care. Knowledge of quality improvement strategies and/or data collection also required. This experience may also count towards satisfying this position's educational requirement.
